★ Character Information ★
Character Name: Misty Day

Character Species: human
Current Health: well, she just got out of Hell, but other than that she's good
Outfit: hippie/bohemian clothes inspired by Stevie Nicks

Character Canon: American Horror Story
Link to History: here
Canon Point: AHS: Apocalypse, after she's been freed from Hell by Papa Legba
Canon Iteration: Canon
★ Folkmore Roles & Attributes ★

Skills: Healing, gardening, presumably cooking and cleaning
Canon Abilities: Resurgence, Telekinesis, Concilium (mind control, only to be used with the other player's approval), Transmutation, Divination (only to be used with the other player's approval), Magic Sensing (only to be used with the other player's approval), Evil Sensing (only to be used with the other player's approval), Chlorokinesis (to be used sparingly in case it interferes with a game event), Potioncraft, Spellcraft
Role: Familiar
Role Qualities/Attributes: the ability to shapeshift into animals, usually the types of animals found in the Louisiana swamp
Role Reasoning: Misty has both the ability to be absolutely vindictive against those who harm her (reviving the alligators and letting them kill the poachers, beating up Madison Montgomery after she killed Misty, kicking Kyle out after he broke her tape player), she can also be incredibly kind to those who treat her kindly (her close bond with Cordelia Goode, her willingness to help heal Kyle despite only knowing Zoe for a short period of time). As a Familiar, she'd be doing her best to make friends and close bonds with both Legends and Myths, helping Legends and Myths (if they have a genuine grievance against someone else).
★ Personality ★

Please choose one of the follow options for your personality section. Please clarify which option you have picked and, if option 2, which questions you are answering:

Option 2. Choose FOUR-FIVE of the following questions to answer and expand upon. You may choose a fifth question if you feel it is integral to your character's personality. Each answer has a 100-300 word requirement.

OPTION 2 QUESTIONS (PICK 4-5) 100-300 WORD LIMIT EACH:

  • What is your character's moral code? Do they have one? Why or why not? Misty has a strong moral code. When she was about to be burned, she swore to those who were burning her that they'd die in flames, though it's never shown whether or not she did it. She's also very protective of the animals in the swamp. It's been mentioned that she revived the alligators some poachers had killed, letting them kill the poachers while she watched. However, she bends towards good most of the time. As also mentioned, she helped Zoe heal Kyle after the spell to revive him didn't work out as originally planned and took Kyle in to her shack in the swamp, doing things like feeding him, talking to him to try and help him recover his mental faculties, and bathing him. The latter backfired horribly, though, which caused Kyle to break Misty's tape/8-track player so she could no longer listen to her Fleetwood Mac tapes. That to Misty was a crime she couldn't forgive. Later, when she was taken to Miss Robichaux's Academy, but declined to stay, saying that she sensed something bad about it, likely due to Fiona being the Supreme. She seems to have developed her sense of justice largely on her own, since we never hear mention of her parents.

  • Is your character capable of forgiveness or will they hold a grudge until they die? Would anything ever make them change their mind? She's the type to hold a grudge, especially against those who violate her moral code of protecting animals or her love for Stevie Nicks, both of which have been discussed in the section about her moral code. Another notable grudge is against Madison Montgomery, who she brought back to life but later knocked Misty out, put her in a coffin, and had that coffin entombed. After Misty was found and brought back to life, she beat the living daylights out of Madison, literally kicking Madison while she was down, throwing her hard against a pillar, and otherwise delivering a beatdown. However, she cooperated with Madison when the Axeman went to the Academy, threatening to kill them. She joins the other young witches into stabbing him repeatedly, even past the point where he was already dead. We don't see her reaction to Madison's death at the canon point she was taken from, but it's very likely she'd continue to hold a grudge against Madison.

  • What is your character's safespace? When do they feel the most settled and comfortable? When do they feel confident and relaxed? The Louisiana swamps, specifically her cabin hidden away. She only abandoned the cabin after a witch hunter nearly killed her and Myrtle Snow, who Misty had brought back to life after Myrtle was burned at the stake. But it's made very clear that she feels most comfortable in nature, surrounded by plant life, birds, and animals/reptiles. Stevie Nicks also makes her feel good, nearly worshipping the singer and choosing to dress in a similar bohemian/hippie style as the singer. After she's brought to Miss Robichaux's Academy to stay, she clearly feels uncomfortable around Fiona until the other witch brings Stevie Nicks (in AHS canon, another witch) over to the academy to meet Misty. Misty is overjoyed when Stevie gives Misty one of her shawls, giving Misty confidence and the thrill of meeting her idol in person.

  • What would your character sacrifice to get what they want or to reach their potential? What have they sacrificed already? Misty sacrificed her comfortable, safe home in the swamp to ultimately stay at Miss Robichaux's Academy given the fact that many people were declaring her likely the next Supreme. This idea intrigued Misty, overcoming her misgivings about staying at the academy to staying there for most of the remaining time in AHS: Coven. When the Sacred Taking (killing the current Supreme, Fiona, so that the next could emerge) was invoked, Misty clearly thought that she would take Fiona's place as Supreme. Later, after Fiona's presumed death, Misty took part in the test of the Seven Wonders, trying to prove herself the next Supreme with disastrous results, leaving her trapped in Hell for years.

  • What is a time where your character failed drastically at something and how did it impact them, what did they do about it? During the test of the Seven Wonders, Misty had to perform Descensum, a descent into Misty's personal Hell. When she did, she found herself in a children's classroom with a dissection frog in a tray in front of her. She brought the frog back to life which earned the attention of her fellow classmate who tattled to the teacher. Misty was desperate to not hurt the frog, but the teacher took the scalpel and forced it into Misty's hand, then cutting open the live frog, making Misty scream in anguish. But that moment was repeated over and over and over again, leaving Misty incapable of escape back to the real world. Misty had been given twenty four hours to perform Descensum and bring herself back to reality, so when she failed, she turned to dust. Misty remained incapable of freeing herself for presumably years, being tortured by her personal Hell until Papa Legba and Nan freed Misty from her it. When she returned, she seemed badly shaken, but there were no indications that she'd be unwilling to stay at the academy, choosing to stay of her own free will this time.
